9 Ways to Use Promotional Videos in Your Sales Funnel Part 3 Decision

“Aren’t all promotional videos the same?” Not really. Different types of promotional videos fulfill different roles.

In Part 1, I cover the awareness stage of the sales funnel, and how you can use video to reach to customers when at the early stages when they recognize they have a problem.

In Part 2, I cover the consideration stage, when customers are beginning to evaluate different solutions.

So let’s continue into the decision stage, with 3 more examples of how promotional videos can help impact your sales funnel.

How to Use Promotional Videos in the Decision Stage

After exhaustive exploratory research, your potential customers have identified a solution or product, and have narrowed it down to different providers. In this stage, your customers will directly contact two different providers for a “face-to-face” comparison. Make it easy for them to choose you.

Therefore your videos and your calls to action should be about prompting them for demos or a phone call. Video assets should be detailed How-To’s, or instructional videos. You should be asking them to call, visit your location, or download your free trial.

7. FAQ Video

You should be getting more personal here. Customers are already convinced you are probably the one, so an overly polished marketing video is likely not necessary. Be the first to make a personal connection. Splice up your webinars (or training classes) into bite size segments for a customer to “see you” as a person, not as a voiceover.

8. Feature Your Customer Support

Customers want to be assured you will still support them once they purchase your product. Whether you provide online support or a warranty service facility, give your customers insight into the process or experience.

Videos should showcase your friendly support staff, or walk viewers through the process of receiving support (do they ship a product in for repair). Client testimonials in this phase should be limited to “I had a problem, and they helped solve it.”

After the sale, show your customers create videos which convey your genuine gratitude. Personalized thank you messages from executives, seasonal videos, or other “brand love” videos are great opportunities to continue to make customers feel proud for being associated with your brand.
